If God is intimately involved with the world in time, if God uses means such as humans to accomplish his will, then there is no escaping this almighty will. Also, it is pointless to oppose evil, because it must come from God.
"Shall we receive good at the hands of God, and not evil?"
-- Job
This view, taken to extremes, results in pessimism and fatalism -- the attitude that nothing can be done to improve the world; that to oppose evil is tantamount to opposing God, because God is the sovereign Ruler who imposes his will inexorably on all things. Many religions and societies believe this way. It is ultimately traced to a loss of the concept of delegated providence.
