All people are different. Everyone, entering into marriage, should know this. However, difference and diversity need never be the excuse for a loss of unity. There must be other forces to break the unity-in-diversity of a marriage, such as a loss of respect, or a failure to show love. Mere diversity of personality, preferences, interests etc. is not a sufficient reason.
