Exaggeration of immanence -> rejection of transcendence.

In an attempt to make God more intimate and familiar, some would identify God with the world, or some aspect of the world. Of course we must speak of God, if at all, using anthropocentric language, symbols and metaphors. But to assume that God actually is physical or has a visible form is nothing but idolatry. It rejects the fact of the absolute transcendence of God. God is not a creature!
